Thailand is beautiful. Im trying to think of a different word to describe it hold on I'll get a thesaurus app and be right back. The app sucked so your left with just my own wisdom.
The drive took 3 hours from Krabi Town to our hotel (Katina Hotel). Mom and i have discussed and come to a conclusion that these rock formations are crazy and completely impractical. Crazy limestone what were they thinking? On one side of the road there were rubber tree plantations one after another. The rubber is collected by cutting the bark off the tree and collecting the white rubber sap. The tree must be 6 years old before they start collecting. After the sap is collected it is shipped around Thailand as a main industry for the country. (a little education for ya ;)) The other side was palm oil plantations. The palm oil is collected after the tree is 3 years old and the fruit is red or orange. The outer fruit is used to produce products like shampoo and body oils. The inner nut is used to produce the oil used for cooking. Apparently I have palm oil to thank for my hips not my appetite!
We crossed the bridge to Phuket island and arrived at our hotel. Just outside there were giant coy fish, turtles and stingrays in a pond. We had a good night of room service and a hot shower and repacked our bags again. This morning we woke up for a big day of shopping! The manager from our hotel drove us around all day which was super cool. We started at Phuket Outlet Mall where we got some bargains then headed to Center Mall which was HUGE. We spent 4 hours shopping for nothing at all really yet we ended up with bags! The best purchase is our new suitcase purchased to take home half of my backpack and all of our wears. It is...like a sunset that warms your soul (yes...that good). Hopefully you will see it soon!
We are sitting in the airport now just waiting for our delayed flights. Super boring.
Now to answer your comments...
Dianne, the pictures will come don't worry. I was so overwhelmed with not only the quantity but the sheer size of some of them i couldn't get a photo. Apparently all religions put their god aside and pray for fertility for all people and honor that by laying giant shlongs in a cave.
Grandma...the food was raw when i took the picture and it should have stayed that way. We all got a bit of an upset after we ate the shrimp.
UT... I wish you were here too of course. Its good to hear from you fellas on the coast though i really enjoy it! Don't be surprised if you get a FaceTime call from me in the near future :)
AP...you are going to have a blast here. Just remember...they are good drivers so just trust them alright.
Kate...i hope your enjoying the snow. Moms very nervous to come back to it so make sure you tell her she is super tanned alright ;)
Jenna...i think you should be here but you know that
To anyone else who reads the blog i don't know that you do so leave a comment so I'm aware of your stalking (kidding).
Much love as always!

Bon Voyage! Hasta la vista.
