Oh my goodness! Well today I was walking to the store to get some milk and I ended up on a bus headed for the city. I figured I had enough days sitting inside so I'd finally venture from the house on my own. Well 4 hours later and a few rain storms I'm soaking wet, sitting on the bus waiting to get my milk.
The museum was huge and very impressive. There is 3 floors and covers almost everything. My favorite part was the ocean and the aquariums. It was good to get out and I'm glad that I did but if I could just get home now that would be even better!
I'm in a bit of a mud hole (as in I'm stuck in a rutt). I feel like I don't want to backpack anymore. I feel like I have made it and I am so happy to be here that I just want to stay and take my time exploring both islands. I seriously need to take some time and figure out what I'm going to get up to. For so long New Zealand has been my dream destination and now that I'm finally here I don't want to go. I love the rain, crazy transit, ocean and the most friendly people.
Here are some pics from my day. I wish that I had more to show you like uncle franks blog but it's rain and stop lights where I currently am!
Sheeva eyes in the tank, a sea urchin, a giant piece of wood, a giant shell (seriously as big as me), a cool fossil with other dinosaur fish, hunting and fishing tools from days gone past.

Hey Taryn, Great museum pictures. Did you take any pictures of your boat trip? and did you have a good time? It is good to read a blog from you, I miss them when you are not writing. Lots of snow here so enjoy the nice weather even if it is raining.
