Krabi

Today we were going to spend another night on Phi Phi but the hotel was fully booked. So we packed up our besties (aka backpacks) and hopped on the boat. We found the best seats on the boat...right up front in front of the captains windows. We got to Krabi at 12:00 and the dock was completely empty. It was a little eerie considering every other island we visited the people were there hounding you as you stepped off the boat. It was different but very nice and an exact representation of what we were in for!

We got outside and there was a man standing with my name on his board. I always want someone to be standing outside with my name on a sign. So after my dream come true we got into the cab and went for a very short ride We got off at a different dock and took a long boat across a small river to a waiting bemo. A bemo is a motorbike that as a carriage attached to it. We loaded our bags and ourselves into it and away we went. We drove for 30min in this tiny carriage and arrived at our hotel Islanda Eco Village. This gorgeous hotel is right on the beach and is more like a 5* luxury villa with 8 other guests. The shells here are incredible. There is a fishing village right next to us with sea gypsies and the water is quite muddy and not for swimming. Because not very many people know about this tiny island we are on its very quiet and there are so many shells everywhere. Mom and jord just weighed down their bags so much with all the shells and sand they're bringing home.

Tomorrow we are going on an island tour of 4 islands around here which will be fun to see something different. Here are some pics of us on the boat and bemo.

Love

  1. Wow, you guys are starting to look like international "jet-setters". Cruising by yacht from one tropical island to another. Invermere will never be the same. You'll have to move to Dubai!!!!!!
