Well I have spent another 8 hours on a bus and have arrived in Kaiteriteri. It's in the sunshine province and it's currently blue skies and beautiful. I booked a hike for tomorrow so that has nicely sucked up another $100 of my very quickly dying funds. Booked into the only hostel in the area and it's a nice place to stay. It's $30 a night here and I am eating an apple and PB for breakfast, peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and a can of lemon pepper tuna over a bag of salad for dinner. Yumm and super great on the waist line...not a chance.
The 15km hike was absolutely breath taking but unfortunately I didn't bring my iPod so I can't upload any photos of it. We took a boat from the beach which is about 32sec from the hostel and it took us around to see seals, split apple rock and we even got to stop for a quick fish. There were heaps of jelly fish and plankton in the water but no fish unfortunately. When we got dropped off at Onetahuti Beach an hiked down to Anchor Bay. It was an amazing hike and day. Take my word on it...new Zealand should be your next destination! I have met up with a girl from Sweden and we are traveling around together so it's nice to have a partner and girl talk.
I'm off to Westport tomorrow to do some horsey riding and see some more sights!
Here is my temporary schedule:
19/20: Westport
21: Lake Manupuah
22/23: Franz Joseph glacier (full day glacier hike)
24/25: Wanaka
26/27: Queenstown
28/29: Christchurch
30: kaikoura
31/1: Wellington
2: lake Toupo
3: Rotorua
4-10: Auckland
Somewhere past that HOME!!!!
That's temporary but about as good as I can do with what I've got. I know that I love it here and I want to be here longer I just need to get rid of Robert (tear) and come back with my suitcase and my regular clothes! Goodness I miss them!
I will apply for my work visa the beginning of April when I get to talk to someone in Queenstown about my application. That way I will be able to come back no problem and life will be fabulous! I'm incredibly excited about coming back and working but right now I just need home. I need to press the reset button from traveling to living and working so that's what I will do.
Much love!

So nice to hear from you again Taryn. I can see that you will be very busy for the next couple of weeks. Nice to hear that you are getting quite a bit of hiking in. I am glad that you have met a girl on your travels. It is good to have someone to talk with. We are all excited about you coming home soon. Can't wait to give you a big hug!! Love you Lots Grama.
